I must be some kind of huge idiot for not knowing how this works.

Okay, so you can change your model in multiplayer by typing something like this in the console:

\model cultist/blue

So I'm running a JA+ server now and say I drop the cybernetic_maul.pk3 model into it's base directory. I join up from my other computer and it downloads automatically. What am I supposed to do to use the model? The file doesn't come with any kind of instruction for using the console to access it, and when I type \modellist it just spits out every single model and I can only read maybe the final ten. Is there a command I can use which is the equivalent of the windows "dir /p" which will allow me to go through the list page by page or what?

Cant you just select the player from the PROFILE OPTIONS menu, or is that not working right for you in some odd way?

Oh. Apparently they DON'T download automatically from the server. I have to manually install the skin on my client.

Lame. There should be a way to let clients download the skins I have set up for use on my server when they connect to it...

There sort of is, however its a major security risk and servers keep it off. Plus its just annoying to use. And for future reference, you can use the "Page up" and "Page Down" keys to move up or down in the console. They might also be "PGUP" and "PGDN."

Thanks for the pagup advice. But what is the option to have skins download automatically? I care screwall about security.

Nevermind, I figured out how to do this through JA+. You just drop whatever .pk4 files you want to use into the server base directory (and your webserver) and JA+'s url redirection will see that they automatically download to clients.

Now my only problem is figuring out why SOME .pk4 files download while others don't...

Should be:

[QUOTE=DemonCloud;3833065]O_O Is this guy a 5 year old person? I mean changing models is the easiest thing in the whole game! And for automatic download, you can change that in the setup menu in the main menu.

Also, be careful of what you post, you can make people your enemies because of things like that. Trust me. :uhm:
