First off, about a year ago I used to put guns I made in game all the time, but now I'm having a strange problem.
Here's what I did. I made a model of a gun in Milkshape 3d and then exported as a .3ds and imported it into 3DS Max. Did the whole UVW and texture thing, exported as .3ds and opened in milkshape. Made the .qc, .md3, and .glm files. Put it all into a .pk3 and stuck it in the base folder.
The problem is whenever I go to play a singleplayer mission or start a game, it comes up with an error. It says the .glm file has over 1000 vertices (2224 or something like that). However, what confuses me is that I have put other guns in there that have 2600 vertices with no problem. Does anybody here know what might be wrong?
You can only have a max of 1000 vertices per object.
Try breaking the model down into seperate "objects" in Max (or whatever it is you use).
I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.
I see, thats most likely the problem, I'll go try it out.
