i was recently trying to make light beams (like the ones in matrix dojo) in a cylindral shape. I was able to get them working as a square...but i tried to make em a cylinder but didn't work. how might i go about making them nonsolid cylinders? (this is for a tele pad type of deal as in dks area 42)

i made the beam a cylinder...but it wasn't nonsolid when i made it a cylinder...so i dunno wut to do
Could you specify what texture/shader you use?
from the dksarea42v3 map im using the beam4 texture and im using the part of the shader he had in there. looks like this
