Ok Well im pretty lost here.

I got a program to open the pk3's and changed all the skins to how i want them. When i load the charecter its shows my picture as his avatar but the charecter itself is still the default model.

I made a new folder renamed it all but well im clueless.

ok heres the basics of what i want......

A reskin of an imperial sabatour.....I have All the skins already made and saved in a folder.

Now what else needs to be in that folder so when i go in my game the skins show up. Keep it simple. I want a pk3 what needs to be in it. Aside from the skins.

First the obvious: do you have a .skin file with all the directories changed to your custom skin? Is the skin under model/players/{custom name}?

A Model.glm, and Model_default.skin just copy and paste them from the sabatour. Yeah you'll also need to do thee above. =)

not sure i hijacked a custom pk3 changed the name and put my file under models/players erased the other folder and put mine.

it now has all the skin files a copied model.glm , model_default.skin and sounds.cfg also a thumbs file apeared on its own i saved it and my picture shows up but the model is again the default skin in game.

What's in the .skin file? I'm not sure what a thumbs is, exactly, though it seems to be something for thumbnails in explorer. You don't need it.

What program do you open the .skin file with. That may be thr problem since I simply copied and pasted it from the sabatuer one called model_default.skin

Yeah, probably. It's just an ASCII text file, so anything that reads *.txt files will be fine.

No, it doesnt matter. Just replace the Sabotuer parts with your skins name.
