i am working on a mod right now for sp and one of the add ons will basically be new levels. i want the boss in each of those levels to have special moves, and so i was wondering, how can you make new animations? for example, im going to have a yoda character and i want him to have his flippy attacks

Youd use Dragon animation tool, which id free, or you can pat some money for better ones. The manual for dragon is a bit hard to understand, so i like this tut http://map-craft.com/modules.php?name=Tutoriaux&rop=tutoriaux&did=50.

It works for me, so find a way to regester. It should work. But there whould be a manual or something thats on the website that explains how to do it (complete with "ur" and everything)

"In this tutorial I'm going to explain how to make your own stances (blue and purple)

tools I used: . dragon . ASK's glamerge . winzip . notepad :p

Before you begin: first read this NOTE: what they didn't mention was that you use the middle mousebutton to rotate the model and the S,W,Q,E,A,D to go forward , up, down, ... if the console doesn't come down -> set your keyboard to qwerty.

First of all, to make things much easier: get a saber model in .glm format and put it in the folder: \yourdragonfolder\models\weapons2\yoursaber\ then change default.cfg in the folder: avatar it should look like this if you open it in notepad:

Dragon { { org 0.0 0.0 0.0 gla _JAhumanoid.gla glm models/players/default/model.glm skin models/players/default/model_default.skin bolt models/weapons2/yoursaber/yoursaber.glm rhang_tag_bone color 0.05 0.15 0.05 length 32.0 } }

now open dragon.exe

you'll see a guy standing with his arms and legs open. and ofcorse you see his "bones"

after you made his stance, type: "finsb" in the console (for some reason the animation must allways begin with a standard frame) NOTE: when you make your stance you'll have to be carefull for two things: the root bone (the one between his feet) has to be -37.50 (the blue slider). The second thing: make sure your model's feet are level with the root bone -> if not: select the bone in his hips and drag it down or up. now save the thing (normal save, and savegla)

now make the folders somewhere (best NOT in the GameData\base): "models\players\_humanoid\" in that folder you have to put the original _humanoid.gla and animation.cfg (found assets1.pk3)

if you've done that, put the glamerge.exe and the .gla that you made in that folder too. execute glamerge with the command: "glamerge.exe _humanoid.gla yourstance.gla" now you don't need glamerge and your .gla file anymore (delete them, or replace them)

next, open animation.cfg with notepad and find "BOTH_SABERFAST_STANCE" now change the first series of numbers to 21375 (the newest animation must allways have this number) save the file, and pk3 the entire "models" folder and put them in your base folder.

that's it now you'll have a unique blue saber stance"
