A member of my old samurai clan suggested to make a themed HUD, so I decided to rev up the old Photoshop, and this is what I came up with after two hours!

Swords HUD (still rough on the edges) shot00073js.th.jpg

Bow HUD (I think this came out sweet) shot00086xe.th.jpg

Got the pics off of Google. Gonna completely redo the status bars eventually- flames for ammo, vines for health, steel slabs for armor, and some kinda magic effect for Force energy.

Feel free to leave comments and suggestions!

I'd suggest using a 1 px black stroke on the swords to make it more pronounced. The shield on the bow looks REALLY pixelated. You'd probably be better off using the sword's shield for that.

Gonna completely redo the status bars eventually- flames for ammo, vines for health, steel slabs for armor, and some kinda magic effect for Force energy.

That may require new coding entirely.

Like I said, it's rough-cut, did it in 2 hours. I plan to tweak it until it looks crisp. And yeah, the sword is gonna get the black border like the bow. I just used cut-n-paste from Google pics for this.

That may require new coding entirely.

Not really, changing the way the bars look only involves editing the .tga files. Imagine an arc of fire of some sort.

Oh, :P. I thought you meant a blast of fire, and it draining downward, something like Diablo.
