if you wanna mod the lightning, you gotta do it with teh Notepad or, as stated before, EffectsEd.

If I knew what that was...I do mapping, not modding, so my info on it isn't completely accurate, but I have done a fair share of basic editing of...stuff, so I do know that editing stuff by hand is the best way, no matter what it is. Unless its an uber high resolution texture. That sucked royally. Yes I did try it, yes it failed miserably. It was a handmade skybox. It just doesnt work that way unless you get a really good picture/render to work from.

I dont know anything about modding. But maybe what could happen is the beam could be moving back and forth, like sweeping the path that the lightning would take. THat might get the whip like effect he wants

:rofl: Yes you can. Lightning is basically an image with an EFX file telling it how to behave. Many people have 'reskinned' Force lightning.
