The moviebattles forums won't be back up. The MB mod team moved on to the source engine, making a Star Wars MovieBattle Mod for Half-Life 2. It'll have the same stuff plus more in that mod.

No, it isn't. We want prone and crouch (and sprint, but I'd forgotten about that at first) as separate things, so you're able to do both, rather than having one replace the other.
This is a GIF (sorry for the bad quality) of the forward prone crawl animation we are using (made by me). Adding animations to the game (and actually using them ingame) is easy, however we don't know how to code in prone as a seperate function from other forms of movement i.e. press x and you go to prone position, press it again and you get up. If anyone wants to learn about creating animations for JA go Mt-Wudan :: View Forum - Dragon Discussion. Dragon can create GLA's for JA. You'll also need GLAmerge if you want to do anything with them which is in the 0.7 release and is also somewhere in the forum (can't remember where).

Bull, read more Movie Battles - Forums Temporarily Offline - News And yes, I think its possible to tell certain classes or models to use a different set of animations and its possible to have different classes of running, just would take some coding skills
We know its possible (well we are fairly sure), we are asking if any coders will be willing to help us do it.
I know you don't want to replace any animations, but it seems to me as if the simplest method would be to replace the Crouch-Walk animation with the Prone-Walk. Just an idea =/ other than that I have no idea.
