Hello everyone! I'm Agent_Ross. I'm relatively new to the modding scene, but I've been doing some model skinning in my free time (nothing released, though).

Anyway, I was wondering if any of the modders here would be willing to make a new model for me, a model of the actor Ray Park (Darth Maul in Star Wars, Toad in X-Men, etc.). I know there are a couple of good Darth Maul models out there; however, (and no offense to the original model-makers, I really admire your talent) I've noticed that the models are not too accurate in the face. I would like a detailed model that looks like the actor, not just Darth Maul. I would also prefer if he could be modeled to wear ordinary clothing, and not just traditional Jedi garb.

If anyone is up to the task, please let me know! And I would be willing to do the skinning for the model, if you wish.

Thank you very much, I look forward to any responses :)

P.S. I tried uploading reference images from my computer, but upload failed. Argh. So if you need pictures, please google his name. (Or help me figure out what went wrong!)

Don't bother with the forum attachment system. It doesn't work for god knows how long now (there, mystery solved =p). Use some third-party hosting site, like ImageShack, to upload the pictures and link to them from there. :)

Actually, I'm pretty sure you don't even need to do that. If you see a picture you want to post here, right click it and select 'Copy image location.' Then paste the link into your post with image tags around it (if you don't know how to use image tags, just click the button that looks like a little mountain, then paste the link there).

@ Tricorder and DarthStevenus: Thanks for the advice! I no longer feel like an idiot :D

Anyway, if anyone is wondering, I think it would be fantastic if the model could have both horns and hair option--meaning it could serve as a new Darth Maul model (if anyone thinks that would be cool), but also have a separate model piece for hair. Y'know, variety.

I know this would be tons of work, but if anyone wants to give this a shot, I'd be eternally grateful.

Lemme see, are there any other incentives I can give? Well... 1. It's always good to have new playermodels for JKA 2. You would be making a fangirl VERY happy...ooh, that may be a dis-incentive. 3. Um, I tried to think of a third incentive. Uh, I would love you forever?

Well, yeah. That's the long and short of it. Thank you so much! I hope someone is willing to undertake this project :)

And I've linked to some images of an excellent sculpture someone has made of him (I didn't want to post the images directly in the message, because they are quite large. But the link should take you directly to the image.).

This image in particular is a perfect profile view:

What do you mean by 'normal clothes'?

@ Pande:

Good question! I didn't explain very well. I'm mainly thinking something that doesn't look like the Jedi robes on Hapslash's Anakin model (though I do love that model). Well, you know the Gwethenea female model? It has jackets and gun belts. I don't think I've really seen anything like that for a male model. I think most of the stuff I've seen for male models consists of either base JA outfits (simple, low-detailed clothes) Jedi apparel (Anakin model) or suits (Agent Smith and Hitman models). Yes, I know this is a Star Wars game, but if some of the female models can wear jeans and t-shirts, can't we have a male model wear casual clothes too?

Hope that explains it a little better :)

View image: New Maul Head

From my new maul model going into mb2 fairly soon. This is an older shot, textures have been updated since then. Horns can be turned on and off but seen as this is done I have no wish to go back and add extra items (such as hair and normal clothing). If a modeller wishes to do so after I have released they can pm me at the moviebattles forums and I will give them the max file. Full credit to Marz (an I used some of his toplogy for the body) and the creator of the Lord Maul skin (who I cant be bothered to look up right now but I used edted version of the creators textures for the body and horns). This was a quick thing done on request by a friend hence shortcuts were taken with the body.

Okay, it's a reskin, not a new model, but it's a male and the clothes fit your description. He's even wearing a watch. ;) I wonder if it's Rolex. =p
