Just wanted to share with you my project in the works. Theres not much to say other than its an M-9 Bayonet, Ontario edition developed for the AR Platform Rifles.

That does look really good, but you could do with a little less detail in the mesh, 'specially on the handle.

Actually, if the handle isin't even being shown to the player because of a hand, the engine wont even render it, right?

If it was modelled, the engine will render it.

It's a lot like a camera. When you're looking around an area, your eyes are focused on one particular thing, and your brain only registers whatever it is you're focusing on. However, a camera doesn't think, it just records whatever passes into it's field of view. That's why cameras often "see" things the human eye doesn't.

Similar dealio with the engine. It doesn't think - it just renders.


I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

Yea, this is the base model, when I break models up into views like 3rd person ans 1st person I modify them accordingly. This only the base model, and it will be the stun baton as per the request of SMoKE whom I am working with. And in the future mod I am hoping to try and make it throwable using alt_fire.

also like was mentioned in another thread, with new machines more detail is able to be utilized and I agreed with it, so I am going to make the models to the quality I think best suits the model. The days of using boxes that are made to look rounded are over. If it lags in beta testing them I will tone it back but if there is no issues then I will leave it, but like I said this is the base version completely rendered.
