I've recently started a simple player model at the request of a clanmate, but I'm stumped on a couple of things... I'm using Gmax BTW...

1. The default player models have all their polygons grouped into different objects... Like the whole of the lower leg being one object called "r_leg" or the entire torso being "torso" - How do you do this, and is it neccecary?

2. I can't figure out the UVmapping thingy... I get one polygon at a time rather than the whole of the object (Now that I know more about this stuff, this may be because I havent done the grouping like I mentioned above)... but I still don't get HOW to do it... help?

Before you link me to google, I have looked there. Nothing useful at all... I'll look again while waiting for a reply, but I doubt I'll make any progress...

Well... I took a look at the Prisoner model and it was like that... I have screenshots if you want. http://nitrogen.clanlc.com/screenshots/scrn1.PNG http://nitrogen.clanlc.com/screenshots/scrn2.PNG http://nitrogen.clanlc.com/screenshots/scrn3.PNG

See how the entire leg is highlited and it's just one object? And the torso? It seems I need to do that...
