Hi there, I've got another question for you all about NPCs, or scripts rather. Is it possible to make a script which makes NPCs walk and run around (not in any particular route, more like at random), without making the map yourself? Like say, if I wanted to add a script to make NPCs walk and run around on Kashyyyk made by SJC, would that be possible?

PS: When I say "walk and run around at random", I mean the kind of walking/running they do when they're in combat and fighting other NPCs.

Any help is appreciated!

I think you would need to modify the map's entities and compile them in. BobaFett or Seto would know...

Ah so basically, if I don't get the .map file for the map I want to use, there's nothing I can do about it?

No, nab is correct: you can modify entities in a map without needing to decompile it at all, so what you want to do is possible. Now, it's a personal policy of mine to not make any modifications to maps outside of what comes with basejka, and it would be courteous to ask SJC first if it's okay to make these slight modifications on a public server (Having met and talked to him before, I'm sure he'll say yes =p)...

Nonetheless, the general method would involve placing some navigational entities (waypoint things) and setting the NPCs to move to them using a script. Actually, I think NPCs will automatically use certain nav aides without needing any prompting (the combat related ones, I think), but I'm not on a PC that has any JKA stuff on it, so I'll have to get back to you with the exact details (unless someone else does it first ).

Ah I see, thanks a lot. And yeah please get back to me on that if you could, because I'm still not entirely sure what I need to do (you described it well, it's more the question of how) and I haven't got much experience with BehaveEd, other than looking at already existing files.
