I'm sorry to ask such a silly noobish question but could someone just answer:

How do you make your own characters for JKA. I can model, and texture, but from there I just need to know what to do next, because no where really gives a straight answer. I hear all this stuff about weighting but I don't really understand.

Say you've made a humanoid npc, I then need the skeligntion correct? I Have the following 3d programs if it helps: GMax, Milkshape, and XSISoft (think its called XSISoft, the free mod thingy). Any links to guide would be great but something along the lines of:

1) Make Model 2) Texture 3) Weight with blah blah www.tutorial for this step.com

would be great, again sorry for the silly question.

You need to weigh the model to the JKA skeleton. If you don't do this the model can not move. There are some very good weighting tutorials in the Tutorials & Tools sticky.
