I have a couple questions regarding mapping (in GTKRadiant): 1. How do you save your map as a model? I used the Wavefront Object plugin, and it saved the file without a file extension. Is this right? 2. How do you, once you have saved an object, import it to your map? I can't find the button or whatever you use.

1. you have to add the file extension yourself (.obj)

2. right click -> misc_model -> *browse to file* -> hit "OK"

It didn't work... it was just a little box with the "shader not found" texture.

In case nothing works, do you know where I can get a md3 converter plugin for Milkshape that doesn't require you to have a .qc file or anything in order to export?

You must have the model inside the "models/map_objects/xxxxxx/

Get this: Q3map2 Graphical User Interface, Jedi Knight 3 Downloads, Jedi Knight 3 Modding Tools

And then turn your .map file into an .ASE file.
