Inyri's posts a couple of threads down reminded me of this issue: would modellers be fine with a code mod that swapped heads / hands / ears / whatever between models? (essentially what the HAPPYLAND mod did to give jan a desann head)

Honestly, i don't see why people hate frankensteining. Some say- "It's not REAL WORK!"

Well, when you frankenstein, you've gotta' re-rig the whole goddamn thing, so it seems like enough for to me for clearly- what you wanted to make.

Try actually making your own work sometime, then see how you like it when someone mutilates it and takes credit for their wonderful masterpiece because "Oh, I rigged it! It was so hard!" :Puzzled:

When someone takes credit, yes. It's bullshit.

But say I got into modeling these things out, I'd give credit where it was due.

He's talking about code. Read the thread title.

See above. Source is not needed.

Weighing the mesh to the skeleton is like the easiest part if you're not a total moron. If someone can't make the models themselves they don't even deserve the title of modeler. EDIT: Sorry I'm a lil drunk and read more into the thread, it is possible to edit the models with a text editor, the funny thing is that Raven included a tut on how to do it with the modding tools...
