is it possible to make a password for a door in the console?
If you mean "is it possible to make it so that the player has to type in a password to open a door?" then no.
You can, however, do a block sequence password or something similar like seen in the Korriban maps at the end of the singleplayer game.
I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.
Sorry I have to do this.
yours/kouens spostis it possible to make a password for a door in the console? If you mean "is it possible to make it so that the player has to type in a password to open a door?" then no.

every thing is possible with the q3 engine:D
Probably like Kouen said.
The password stuff in Doom 3 were all in the ingame interfaces.
The most you can probably do with this engine is make a panel [textured or untextured] with force-push-able blocks with letters [or numbers which is simple] as textures. And then make it so that that a certain order unlocks the door. Then you can put a locking mechanism on the other side if you want your privacy.
The way the old sith council did it was by having a series of teleports, and each would take you into one of four different rooms. You had to follow a certain order to get into the control room.
yeah but my fps stinks as it is and im only halfway thru!so teleports is gonna make it inpossible to play(btw its a clan map:))
hmmm bad fps..... if you post a mink to the .map ill see if i can find a way to make the fps better...
FPS issues? Make sure you have used detail brushes for anything "Inside" not touching "The Void".
ya and use caluk for non-visable faces make sure any brush (except fog) doesnt intersect with another. use curves and mirrors sparingly
oh i didnt know bout detail brushes
