Mapping can become extremely complex the moment you start using advanced shaders. In example, a simple dotProduct already involves a shitload of math.
True, but most of the maps peole make use the shders that come with JA. It all depends on what kind of effect you want to achieve with the map. But I know what you mean Gothix, I cannot even pretend to come close to the maps you produce, but alot of what I like is fairly simple. And from the idea he sent, the map would be fairly easy to do. Because they are good! Any one who maps knows the amount of time he must have spent on making them, others like myself admire his skill. Peace!
