okay.. now before you say go check the master sticky.. ill let u kno that i already have. Im Oniram and ive just begun modelling. Ive only done weapons so far and i want to get into characters. so, im looking for the dotXSI import/export plugins for 3DS Max 8 (im sure 6 7 or 8 would all work the same). ive googled it and found basically nothing. it leads me to one place but doesnt allow me to dl because its either a broken link or just a description. if you have or know where to get this plugin.. please tell me. also, ive checked out this Okino site that talks about it but i cant find a way to get it from there.. maybe that could be a place? I would greatly appreciate any help with this. Thanks in advance. -Oniram

www.maxplugins.de

You'll be hard pressed to find any working plugins for Max 8. I'm still missing half the plugins I need.

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

Please update your bookmarks to surf our new site. Thank you.

Go straight to the Softimage.com homepage and navigate through there. The link in the Master Sticky is indeed derelict, but the site is still there, it's just been redesigned.

SoftImage make the actual XSI software, so naturally it comes built-in with an importer and exporter.

XSI Mod Tool is the free version, which I believe should be sufficient for your needs.

yeah i thought the IMPORT and EXPORT would go together, but they didnt. when i tried importing, there was no option for .xsi. but when i tried exporting there was.
