I'm sure that this has been brought up before, but I can't find any threads about it. Has anyone noticed that some of the links for the JKA Modding Tutorials and Tools don't work? And a lot of those are ones that I desperately need. So could someone help me out plz?

I'm assuming you mean the links in the master sticky? Anyways, I've had that problem too, all it means is that that wesite no longer exists or is having an error, Therefore the link goes no where. If you desperately need a tutorial, try the FileFront search feature at the top of the page to see if anyone else posted links to those tutorials. And if that doesn't work, you can always google it :google: .

There will never be a situation where a tutorial you desperately need isn't available. Why? It's simple.

Because many of those links in there have cross-over content. You don't think that on a forum this big, we'd be so naive as to put all our trust into one link if it wasn't totally reliable, do you?

I found only a few links which were not 100% accessible, and here's the status on them.

Milkshape 3D Skeleton - It's fine, you just need to sign up for a FilePlanet ID to get to it.

QWorkshop3 - Looks dead to me. Either way, it didn't have anything that's not already covered in other mapping tutorials. This particular site was for Quake 3 mapping, which differs quite a bit from JKA mapping, so it's hardly a great loss. Link removed.

Bot Routing In JO and JA - This one has been down for a long time, I meant to remove it but it slipped my mind. Again, though, it's nothing that isn't covered in any of the other links we supply. Link removed.

JKA MP to SP Model Conversion Tutorial - Very unreliable link - Freewebs, 'nuff said. However, that doesn't matter at all, since Inyri's MP to SP Model Conversion Tutorial is right beneath it. Link removed.

FAQ/Walkthrough - The source site blocks direct linking. This was partially my fault, it worked fine for me, but I was logged in on the site at the time. Link removed. I'll write an FAQ/Walkthrough of my own at some point.

3DS Max MD3 Plugin - This one is down, but again, it doesn't matter since you can just get the plugin from the GMAX And 3DS MAX Plugins Database link. Link removed.

GMAX MD3 Plugin - Dead. Again, you can simply get it from the MAX Plugins Database. Link removed.

None of those links were particularly vital, none of them had unique content that other links don't also have, and there's no reason why the loss of those links would stop you from doing anything, let alone be desperately needed.

Just FYI, PM me if you spot anything wrong in the Master Sticky, or want to suggest some updates. Nothing ever gets done if we don't know what needs doing.

Slight addition. Please don't PM me regarding any additions/changes to the sticky. I can't change it. Thanks.

Can you edit your own posts thirty minutes after they're made?

Inyri has no green name. Therefore it stands to reason that she is no longer a Super Moderator. Therefore she has no moderation access. Simple as.

Another link that doesn't work for me, and the one I was mainly concentrated on at the time that I posted this, is the Adding Saber Hilts to SP Menu one. I wasn't really thinking about using the Search thing to find tutorials, but that was mainly because at the moment I didn't have a whole lot of time on my hands. I guess I'll just do that, but I still may need some help with finding things later on.

Hmm, yeah, that one's not a link, it's an attachment on these forums. As you may or may not have noticed, attachments = fuxed. We're currently waiting on a fix from the tech team, but... eh... yeah. We've been waiting on that fix for quite some time. Guess the tech team need beating with sticks again... I think that attachment is one of Inyri's, so she should be able to give you the general gist of what you need to do to get sabers in the SP menu (God only knows I'd certainly feel better if all of the attached tutorials were in post format instead).

Would it be possible to make a "new" master sticky with all the things we've learned since thee old was made? Just a thought I wanted to throw out there.

Why would you need to waste time making a new one when you can just ammend the current one?
