I'm sorry if this is a stupid question or the answer is listed somewhere, but i can't find it.

Do people ever make and release map object models for other map makers to use? I can't seem to find any if they do. Don't tell me to google search, believe me I have. JK3 files has a few model sets, but not many.

So does anyone know where I could possible find more models to enrich my maps? :) (Or are people usually forced to make their own models?)

Thanks.

Heres a few map objects on JKFiles: Pine Tree Map Object, Jedi Knight 3 Downloads, Jedi Knight 3 Map Objects Cantina Map Objects, Jedi Knight 3 Downloads, Jedi Knight 3 Map Objects KotOR Map Objects, Jedi Knight 3 Downloads, Jedi Knight 3 Map Objects Medieval Map Objects, Jedi Knight 3 Downloads, Jedi Knight 3 Map Objects

The only thing close to what you're asking is prefabs, but they're made out of brushes.

Check JKFiles out for Prefabs and you should get a few results.

Yea I saw those objects they are actually what I was referencing ;) but prefabs is probably what I was talking about, but didn't know it. I'll look into that thanks.

Here's a page containing hundreds of models from the Quake III, you'd need to make them work for JKA though and I'm no expert on how to do that but I do know it's possible as I've seen one or two used on a few maps on JKFiles Model Text

It seems as though you can use the models from that, but most of the shaders don't work, which makes sense really, you could just use your own textures or shaders on them. (incase anyone is ever wondering you just have to open the pk3 file and pull out the models and put them in your model folder)

That site is a good site. The reason shaders don't work in those models is because Quake III stores all of its shaders in the scripts folder, while JK3 stores all of its shaders in the shaders folder. For 90% of the models on that site(all that i've downloaded), you simply need to extract the contents to your base folder, and move the shader from the scripts folder to the shaders folder.

I have done that, but it still doesn't load with the shaders on it, and if you have to apply them, I can figure out how to apply them :P
