There are two models/skins that I've been wanting to fool around with skinning, but I can't open them in modview. Problem is the bone count. The skins in question apparently have 75 bones and Modview is capped at 53. How can I get Modview to accept the 75 bone count in these models?

This basically means that you're trying to open a JK2 model with JK3 settings.

What you need to do is to download the Jedi Outcast demo, and replace the '_humanoid.gla' in your JK3 folder with the one from Outcast; don't forget to back up the original JK3 one first though as you'll need to put it back if you ever want to view JK3 models/skins in ModView at a later date.

I'd rather not have to download the whole demo for one folder. Anyone know where I can download just the above mentioned file for JK2? I'm going to search for JK3 files to see if it's there.

Doubt your going to find it since I think its against the EULA to host a file like that and jk3files would deny anyone wanting to upload it. Just download the fkn demo or better yet get the game for like $5-$10, worth it since story wise it's far superior to JA.

Setting up ModView - MovieBattles II Wiki

The file you need is at the end of the page, at "Common errors".

@minilogoguy: It's just a modder's ressource file. If it's ok to host or have something like the JKA SDK, the same will likely apply to this file as well - all people really do with it is view models in ModView, after all.

The difference is, the JA SDK is not proprietary software. We don't have to pay for that. For Jedi Outcast, which that file is from, we do. That's why we've removed the file in the past For the sake of not downloading an entire demo (Non-proprietary software), I'll let it slip for now, but I'm still edgy about it.

PS: I can has favour returned by being offered an alternate MB2 download without having to download shit I don't want or need? >.>'

What do you have in mind? I guess we could make a pack with only the files that were actually changed? No re-downloading maps you already have, etc. then. Gonna talk with the rest of the team about something like that.

Wouldn't that file be in the JKO SDK?
