Ok, I’ve got a few questions that are related to professions, saber styles, weapons, & powers in general. All of this is related to the famous MovieBattles II Mod. Right now, I’m working on my first conversion mod for JK3 MP/SP. I won’t discuss much about it until I fill in more detail in it. K, here’s what I want to know.

  • How can I emulate the MB2 multi-saberstyle system? Now when I ask this, I have my own styles in mind, but I want to know how to make more styles.
  • How can I emulate the profession system as seem also in MB2? I’m definitely going to make my mod professions myself, but I’d like a little guidance on this; such as knowing how to make the selection menu, set force powers/upgrades & weaponry for them

Any help on this will be greatly appreciated. Also, I will credit the MovieBattles 2 team & anyone who helps me with this I my mod if desired. Arigato in advance ^.^

Before I answer your questions, I have a question for you.

How good's your C?

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.

If 'C' is for coding, I'm not that bad...Not that Good, may I ad...but a 'lil above average, plus I'm quite a fast learner. I don't require step-by-step instructions (although that would be helpful), I really only need a little advice on where to start, what to look in to, or anything at all. Anything would be much appreciated, yet I require no answer XP...

C is a programming language, the one the iD Tech 3 engine was coded in.

Similarly, iD Tech 4 was built using C+. Or was it C++? I forget. Who cares, anyway? >_>

But, to be honest, I think you'd be better diverting this question towards the MB2 team, provided they're not too busy working on Torn Earth to give a hoot. :clueless:

Wish I could help, but my C is terrible, and even if it weren't, I've never built/modified a system like that. Sorry. Maybe someone else can be of more use.

Ok, well thanks anyway Kouen, I'll post in the MB2 Forum & see if I get any responses there. But, if anyone else has anything to add, say away ^.^...

I believe asking the team itself that has done these things will be the best.

to do what you want to do, you would need MB source code and you can only get that from them since there not open source
