Hi!

Is it possible to modify the weapons so that they - have a higher fire-rate - do more damage - have a bigger explosion-radius

???

and is it possible to spawn NPCs (INGAME, not in the editor) in a specific direction? for example "bind k npc spawn reborn direction219degree")

and is it possible to kill npc-groups via console? there's a command called "npc kill all" but is there also something like "npc kill all-reborns" ??

I have the answers to all of those,

1.Firing rate, look in ext_data, a file called weapons, find the gun you want to modify and change the lines firetime and altfiretime. The lower the faster and yes 0 is accepted.(only for SP, for MP look below)

2. & 3. Impossible without coding, if you know how to code and your mod is for MP it's quite easy.

4. No, but they spawn facing the same direction as you are.

5. You can't kill all of one type of npc, but you can kill all of one playerteam: "npc kill team player/enemy/neutral" (free doesn't work), you can also kill individual npcs if they're named (to name them put in the name you want after the spawn code: "npc spawn reborn bob") using the code "npc kill *name*" (take out *s)

Okay thanks! There's something in the controls called "look up" and "look down"...

but then you start looking up slowly if you press the key...

is there any way to make you look up or down directly? i mean something like "bind p lookdown-180degree"... it's like "centerview" but not looking forward but looking DOWN or UP

#5 When you spawn an NPC put a word after it, ie "npc spawn stormtrooper group". Then type "npc kill group" to kill only that set of npcs. You can create as many groups as you like, just don't name any of them "all".

is there a way to start animations like in JA+ via console???

for example in JA+ u can write "amsleep", "amdie" or "amatease" or something like that and your model will do an specific animation...

is there to do something like that in the base game? i mean "bind o play-animation-die1"

All I know is that you CAN create a file next to the map .BSP file called *map bsp name*startup.CFG and that CFG file will start-up on the map that is before startup. NOTICE: it has to be like this EXAMPLE: bsp1startup.CFG DO NOT have it like this: bsp1.bspstartup.CFG It will not work. and also the thing is I have never really tried it, but I know it works on the Quake 1 engine. and since this is the Quake 3 engine sort-of. It might work aswell.

in some mod (maybe XMOD?) there was a /debugmove command or something that let you do any animation. i remember this because people would bind a key to debugmove blah blah and run around getting midair kata insta kills and whatnot.

and also about the gun settings.. i dont think editing the weapon .dat file will work for MP atleast... im pretty sure you have to do coding. the popular method is making console cvars of all the wep stats in g_weapon.c (like xmod and redslushie mod did)

you could make a script like this..

cl_pitchspeed 5000 +lookup wait 1 -lookup cl_pitchspeed 140

you might have to fiddle with the large pitchspeed number or maybe increase the wait a bit... but that should work for looking straight up instantly. just bind a key to exec it.
