in MP i have all the keys binded to make demos but the same commands are not used for SP could someone tell me how to record demos in SP:bows: ?
wuts it in mp?
the easy thing is to bind it to keys so that you dont waste time trying to type it in the console you type in /bind {key} g_synchronousclients 1 where i put key you put a key on the keyboard like for the one above mine is /bind i g_synchronousclients 1 where the "i" key will turn it on you dont need cheats either to start recording you just type in record and i binded that to the "o" key and to stop recording you type in stoprecord and i binded that to the "p" key it is very simple to do and you can only view them in the main menu under "play demo" because they are in a format that cant be played in any type of media player but these commands dont work for SP and i wanted to know if anyone knows how to do it
Well, as you observed, the function is not working in SP. Your options are limited to an external program like FRAPS to record an AVI file.
FRAPs is a better program to use for demos, anyway. Just keep in mind the initial compression ratio is 0%, so your clips might end up being more than half a gig. TO remedy this, go to Accesories/Windows movie maker and import the clips, edit them there. Provided you want a demo, you should easily clear the 30 second required cutting board material. The finished product is usually less that 5 megs.
thanks guys!
