I've searched around a bit for cutscene tutorials and found almost none. The ones I did found however were the first 2 or three steps how to get controls disabled and get moving camera's. Does someone know more about this? and if so, can he/she explain some stuff to me or direct me to a more complete tutorial?

I think a Pm to lassev is your best bet. he's the only major SP scripter I know who is still active on these forums.

Well, I don't know any exhaustive cinematic tutorials. The best one I do know hasn't been online for years, but I do have a local copy on my HD. I have sent it zipped to a few people when requested. It basically covers using navgoals and cameras. In the end you could say that's the core of cinematics, though, and the only two remaining major aspects would be sounds (speech) and animations, but those are nobrainers if you have a look at the original Raven cinematics scripts shipped with the editing tools.

Lassev, Could you submit that one old cinematic tutorial you have to the admins for the modding tools/tutorials sticky so that it's available for general downloading again? thanks.

Uploading it somewhere for public viewing would obviously require a permission from the original author. I don't know if that's possible, as I don't even know an email address, only the name of the copyright owner: Richard K. Ellenbroek.

It's also written for Elite Force, and while that doesn't actually mean anything as it's 99% compatible with JO/JA, I still can't help but wonder if they would be willing to post it under those circumstances.

Cool, if you don't mind could you send me the tutorial? I could really use it right now.

If you PM me an email address that can handle an attachment of a couple of megabytes, I'll send it over.
