Hi, I thought I would start a new thread for this question. I've searched for about an hour for a modelling tutorial for JK3. All I have found is tutorials on modelling alone, but I'm more looking for something to help me in exporting the right single player model, editing it correctly (without messing it up as to make it incompatible with the game, if that's possible), and exporting it and getting it in the right format and file location or the game.
I would like to simply edit some of the single player human models. I'm concentrating on the mesh itself right now, but I wouldn't mind being able to edit the skin too.
I also was wondering if one can create their own model from scratch for import into the single player game.
I'd really appreciate some help- either a link to a tutorial or, if you don't mind, some instructions. Thanks!
You'll not find a single tutorial that covers everything you need. You'll have to go over a lot of them and adapt what you've learned to work for what you need. Ben Mathis' video tutorials cover the modeling, UV mapping and texturing parts, Psyk0's site has the skeleton you'll need, as well as a tutorial for rigging player models and an exporting guide. If you work with them, these are all you'll need.
