I'm making a boba fett reskin, and the pockets on the model really bother me... is there any way to remove them, or just make them invisible?

Have you ever *seen* the Boba Fett model?

Darth Muffin, it depends on the skinmap. If they mapped the pocket as a separate object from the legs, then you can. If they're mapped together, then you can't.

Well, if i understood correctly, you'r talking about the *off thing right? If so than it's mapped together.... Maybie there's a way to make the pocket see-through?

No. If the pocket is a part of the main mesh, using a transparency shader or alpha layer would just present you with a lovely niew into the inner workings of boba fett. If the pockets are a separate model, then a fast way to make them invisible is to delete their texture. It's crude, but it works.

What alpha layers are (I guess) is where you make something transparent. So what you could do is make the pockets transparent. I'm not sure what filetypes support this but I do think .tga does.

t551No. If the pocket is a part of the main mesh, using a transparency shader or alpha layer would just present you with a lovely niew into the inner workings of boba fett.

You should realise that you would have a gaping hole in the model if you used alpha layers, as quoted.
