Well, as some of you may know. A while ago, a group of people set out to make a Republic Commando mod for JKA. And for a while, it went well. But then the mod soon fell through. The reasons are unknown to me, but I am guessing that they just stopped and gave up... I closely monitored the mod cause I really wanted to see it and play it... I then learned how to map basic things... (Curves, doors, patch meshes, spawns) And me and the one and only came together and decided to revive the mod... So here it is. I am looking for modders, or even just average gamers with some pointers... Heck, even morale support would be appreciated... So far, we have animators, mappers, modellers, and skinners but we need some coders the most... Now onto the mod... The mod is going to be a multiplayer mod. (We may attempt a sp mod after mp is released.) Our main focus is to alter the game in a way that makes a player feel like he/she is playing a totally different type of action; we are making the mod a bit more "shooter" friendly. By this I mean the mod is going to focus on improving gunner combat and making it more realistic, new weapons and effects, new weapons, new maps, and realistic gameplay. Lastly, and maybe the most important thing we want to accomplish is this: gunners should be better than Jedi... Now that doesn't mean we forgot about those saber-wielding trouble makers, but we want a more gun-oriented combat. There will be new gametypes (hopefully some class-based combat as well)and new animations. One thing we'd like to get rid of is the akward strafe-spray and pray gunning common in JK3.
