I was wondering if somebody could make skins of the Team Fortress 2 Classes. (Demoman, Engineer, Heavy, Medic, Pyro, Scout, Sniper, Soldier, and Spy) It would be really nice if they had complete team, bot, and NPC support. Here are some pictures.

I has a Spy skin. Made from the Galak model, it is. Very crude, but so's TF2. The others would need to be models.

umm..why not just play them on Team Fortress 2 like how they are meant to be played, instead of practicially wasting time on trying to make them on a game that wont do them justice

I say, I thought TF2 had better playermodel graphics, kinda like half life 2 animated. Anyways, I agree with Iceman.

Because I feel like it. Besides I think if I get somebody good, like Lightsource I could get a pretty good skin.

ya, but most if not all of those characters would need a completely new model to even attempt to make them, and most modellers are either busy with their own work or doing projects, have left, or just dont feel like doing every little thing someone posts, so overall, u only have 2 choices: either just go and play TF2 and play the characters are meant to be, or learn to model, and skin and make them yourself

TBH i think Lightsource's skill would be wasted on a project like this, and not to mention i havn't seen him around these forums in ages and knowing pretty much every modelers here, they RARELY take requests

Maverick050598;4387820Very crude, but so's TF2.

Like hell it is! Team Fortress 2 runs on the latest version of the Source engine along with Portal and Half-Life 2: Episode 2. Team Fortress 2 makes JA looks like the original Doom in comparison.

Next time you call the game crude, I'll lecture you on fluid particle systems, hybrid threading, per-pixel motion blur, High Dynamic Range Lighting, and highly advanced animation systems that the ID tech 3 engine couldn't even begin to replicate. K? ;)

Anyway, this is an example of a request where I have to say it's a waste of time to make these models, and you should just go play TF2 the way it is supposed to be.

Yeah, that attitude will get someone to make it for you.

In case you hadn't noticed, there are no player modellers left. There's Manganiac, and.... well, Manganiac. Basically.

You're talkin' about an old game that was considered deprecated by half the planet a good three years ago. Modelling, unlike other forms of modding, isn't something one picks up as a hobby - it's more often than not a career choice. As a result, I find that most modellers will move with the times, for both the new capabilities it offers them as well as the challenge and increase in skill they'll gain from doing so.

Between the 'drive' most modellers role with, and the snappiness.... well, if someone does take up the request, don't take it personally if I don't log in and congratulate you; I'll be busy at the White House receiving my Presidential Medal of Freedom(!).

I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.
