Pls advise how to make the object model seems translucent abit ------------------ | | ------------------ ^ |--- a hilt, to be translucent abit so it can be looked through (By max or gmax function)

You can add a shader to make it translucent, but it will be almost completely see-through, if that is what you want let me know and I will post in here how to do it.

um if your askin how to do it in max or gmax you go into the material editor and make a gray texture under alpha to make it tanslucent. the darker the color the more transparent itll become, like if you used black the object will be completely invisible.

But then it would be translucent only in max or gmax, and most likely he/she want the saber to be translucent in-game, and you need a shader for that.

Heres the shader, I will pretend that you know how to apply a shader so I wont explain you how, but if you do need help let me know.
