It'll look like it's jumping, but the game will still consider the vehicle entity to be at the starting position, and will still register hits and collisions whithin that bounding box (I think that's the right phrase). It's like Tavion's special taunt: You move forward and to the side, but the game doesn't recognize it as actually moving.

Sure you can make a vehicle jump.. You just need to code in the jump (monkey cake), or if you move the model and skeleton root up while animating it will jump.. fo real..

This is even easier! I have never really played metroid or any of that crap but for JKA it would be just fine to create a simple sphere, skin it, hide it in the body.. Like in the pelvis area, and when you animate it, you scale it up to wrap the body, while the body inside remains crouched/fetus positioned. And you just animate 1 bone rotating

I doubt it. There's a reason why you have to set the hight and width for the vehicles, and I don't beleive the vehicle's bounding box follows the root bone.

meh no coder will be pretty darn fugged up Meh I dunno much about vehicles.. and lastly, use yer brain -_-.. If you hide in a little sphere skinned to look like that ball the chick goes into, and you scale it up when using, you can just have the big ball mesh covering the vehicle.. and than just rotate the bone to create a "rolling'' animation...capiche?

Tell me hw they can make it just scale up without creating a new skeleton and rigging individual segments to their own bone and spreading apart, because that would take forever to do and might not even be possible to have that many bones in a skeleton.
And also, as far as I can tell, what you're saying is to have the suit as the vehicle with the little ball hidden in the pelvic region, but when somebody gets in it the ball envelops her. Lets see if you can figure where I'm going with that one. Here's a hint: the problem has to do with the suit. Unless that's not what you're saying, sometimes I have a little trouble understanding what people are saying on these forums. I'm better with face-to-face discussions.
Im not really familiar with the entire character/game. But, if you don't have a coder, a capable animator nor a modeler.. quit now, prevent dissappointment...
yeah i get what you mean, i didnt realize they wanted to use an existing skeleton.
They do have a coder. Me. But they don't have an experienced coder.. Although we're working with razorace to get things working. I think.
