A huge improvement Marshall! Keep up the good work! The trick is to get that effect on the other parts of the model as well, though if you're tricky with the textures, you should do ok :)

ugh... you're still using meshsmooth instead of smoothing groups. try using software that does what you want it to do =/

if the number of verticies has doubled, and, you can physically see in the last screenshot, that the edges themselves have a smoother transition. then you're NOT using smoothing groups... or, you might be in wings, but then, wings is a stupid piece of shit anyway.

Gir, I think you're wrong here. The corners look to be too sharp for meshsmooth, even at iteration 1. And he did say that the vert count doubled because there's two of every mesh.
