ok so im planing to improve a model to start in my ways of modeling

the model i want to improve (not that is bad actually is my favorite model of my favorite character i just want to change the things that i didnt like)

and something that i wanted to... well not improve more like add is some shaders to the haira friend of mine shoed me a shader that could make for example thecape glow so i wanted to ask for a shader to make the hair of the face to move the robe and the tunic as well can someone tell me where to get something like it? or maybe someone could make it or show me how thanks :naughty:

moving the hair or tunic cant b done. physics man. no possible way with this engine.

there was a mod that added newton physics to the game but what i was asking was a shader that is possible and i have one that makes the cape move but i want just the parts ive said before

? somebody else take this one... i woke up with a headache...

ahh hell with it. eltran is/was trying to incorporate "physics" via lua. with object collision. still wouldnt fix yer "hair" problem.and furthermore u dont have a shader that makes yer hair sway in the wind, or yer cape move with motion, that works in jka. like i said in the beginning. impossible with this engine. yer misinformed man

Xycaleth's JAPhys mod didn't add ragdoll or cloth physics behaviour, it was simple AABB (Or OBB) of entities moving in the world. You can use a vertex shader much like some water shaders use for the hair, but it won't look too good.

I know what shader command you're talking about, but I'm pretty sure it won't work on a model. Besides, unless the modeler made the cape/hair a separate object, I think it would also affect the cape and whatever other parts of the model it's attached to, for instance the helmet (if it would even work, which I doubt it would). As for the physics mod (stalax right?), I'm not an expert on the subject, but I think that applies more to ingame map objects like crates. You'd need cloth physics. But if you're really desperate to try, the shader command you'd use is deformvertexes.

This won't really help you with anything, but I found it while googling cloth physics and it's kinda neat I think.

ok im perfectly aware of what the mod had i also know that this mod had no cloth physics i just was trying to point out that if he was able to do objects physics in JA the it would be possible to do a cloths physcs and thats not what i requested luls

i asked for a shader that has this models/players/Raziel/robe { cull twosided qer_editorimage models/players/Raziel/robe

deformvertexes wave 100 sin 2 1 0 0.20 { map models/players/Raziel/robe alphaFunc GE128 depthWrite rgbGen lightingDiffuse } } this simple comand or whatever makes like a glowing effect to the .jPG you choosed wich is kinda clumsy so i wanted to know if it was possible or is already a better shader that imrpoves that glowing effect and since im trying to improve in my way the hair and the tunic (just a few adjustments nothing too fancy)i wanted to know if there is a shader that makes what i want in a improved way that this one

It sure looked like it to me...

But as far as that shader goes, it might help us if you show the textures being used, or at least a shot ingame of the model. Or better yet, post a download link to the model you're talking about.

i didnt requested a mod with phsysics or asked "what was that" man i only get disapointed more and more on this forum it looks like peplez have gived up this awesome game meh ill continue my project without the shaders after thinkinga lot of it i supose is worhtless no one will looke at it so ill ask for your help after im done maybe with some skin and usefull shaders thanks anyways ;)

Am I the only one that got that impression?

But anyway, I wasn't trying to send you off without help. Is this glow shader supposed to be like a specular map? like this:
