Hello fellow modders,
Recently I posted this: Shadow-Blade Mark IV, Jedi Knight 3 Downloads, Jedi Knight 3 Star Wars skin at JK3files.
I'm now loosely starting with preparations for a v2.
As read it in the review it needs more variation, I was wondering, what would you want added on the skin?
(note that I can't model player models.)
Well I think it's a pretty nice skin.. it's better than what I could do anyway..
But if I were you I'd try to make a tech-looking version, with some circuits glowing on his body in either a pale yellow color or in any other way (rgb customizable anyone?), or a more. . awesome version with some symbols just like tribals or stuff like that :p
And somehow I get the feeling your textures are too sharpened-up,.. I suggest bluring down a bit to make it look smoother, unless you're going for a hardcore-battleworn armor.
The one thing I didn't really like, was the visor. . . I don't know why, but I think that I'd be better looking, not to mention more modern-looking, if you would round it up a bit ;).
It's obvious that you worked pretty hard on this one, but I think this wasn't really appreciated because it wasn't really unique. When I first saw the file I thought it was a bulkier shadowtrooper. Try building that armor of more than just metal plates. You can see what I mean by unique by checking the armor in Crysis (not suggesting to make a crysis-type armor or anything like that). Just trying to say that there is always place for improvement.
I hope my comments helped and I really wanna see what you're gonna do in your next version:). Good luck!
Thank's for the advice, I'll take it with me in the process.
Ok a really small update, I replaced some textures on the arms and legs and I spiced up the helmet a bit.
IDK I like the other versions a bit more (where he had 2 eyes) maybe update that one as a SB Classic model.
I didn't make it!
I like the changes that you made, but I just noticed how much I don't like the hands in the 2nd screenshot. The stripy texture looks very unrealistic.
Ok, new hand textures it is, also I like the 'Classic' idea.
Very nice dude very nice
Bumping time :P
just posting here to let ya all know that I didn't dropped this project, though it's really in-between work.
I'm currently working on improving the general parts of the armour, when those are done I'm going to make the 'special' add-ons.
Also, if you still have a suggestion, feel free to post.
a helmetless version?
