is it possible to make an NPC ship that can actually fly and fight?

I just thought of something, if it weren't possible then how in JK2 and JK3 did raven do it, for example in the SP JO swamp level there are flying and shooting x's and ties and in JK3 the Byss mission you have to shoot down those Ties to keep the Imperial Dreadnought alive long enough to escape. if anyone figures out how to make the NPC's to fly and attack please let me know.

I said this in my theard but open the npc, with notepad. In fact I'll try and make a new one for you with Jaden's ship okay there already is one for jaden's ship, so I'll just tell whats specails about them. Edit- okay this is what the npc says: Note: Pay attention to my notes on the side!

//NOTE: for vehicle-class NPCs, the playerModel key is actually their entry in the vehicles.dat X-Wing { playerTeam TEAM_NEUTRAL<--This is the npc's team since this was the one used by Wedge enemyTeam TEAM_NEUTRAL<------Same class CLASS_VEHICLE<------Important!!!!!!!! This must be here!!!! width 230<------This depends on model, but you should always use it!!!!!!!!!! height 128<---------------------------------Same } :deal: :deal: You could have done that yourself. You know I should make a turtail (not that I could spell it) about that. Might be useful. I can see the first sentence now: My spelling and grammar sucks sorry! Anyways, read the note with the // before it thats really part of the npc and just incase you didn't know .dat files open with notepad, this note is important! Hope this helps, but next time look around first in the assets!:spank:

What you seen there was scripted event, sorry to burst your bubble. JO didn't even have ships...

There are NPCs for vehicles. I'm going to make a new one to prove it, but untill I find a new ship model I wouldn't so don't count on anything soon.....

What do you know? I made vehicles too, and one of them, was actually modelled by me :D (see bellow)

No. I'm right he was talking about NPC ships as in enemys controlling them. And that what I posted about look in ext_data/npcs you'll see. I made a new ship npc and I think I'll test it soon, but not now. I'll post about it later. Oh, and Tfighterpilot this is off-topic, ut I've seen that Snow Speeder before great work. You should make some A-wings are something because your really good at modelling! :bows: :bows::cool: :sarrow:

where there not flying tie fighters in one of the later levels in JO? I thought you had to shoot them down or something (been awhile). That would be cool if there where a way to make ship npcs in ja. later

Yah there ws in one of the last levels; one of the swamps.
