Some time ago I asked for help with texturing a new model. Now I've started an addon, customization.

I need a skin, tunic that can be worn nowadays. I haven't seen that skin yet, but I think it can also be possible. Someone, share it.

I like where youre going with this. The mixing of tunics is a good start. I remember your earlier model looked pretty good. This will probably earn me a few frowns, but theres nothing technically wrong with "borrowing" from the Raven base folder to make new textures. Generating a brand new skin from scratch is a tall order, Ive been going crazy on my first "from scratch" skin for almost 2 months.:( That said, the Raven stock can provide quality cloth textures with seams, closures etc. Not to side track from the Doc, this is a skin I started working on awhile back using nothing but mix and match from the jedi/prisoner skins in JKO:

Brand new look using existing textures to yeild more realism than I could have from scratch. Move/clone the seems where you want them, use the heal tool to fix the spliced edges, color correct, and youre on your way. An added plus, the more time you spend looking at the pro work, the more you learn. Theres also many tutorials, including these that I love, though clothing is not covered here: Dark Forces: A MOD For Academy Ultimately, if you still feel you need help making a skin, you would need to make arrangements to send the skinner the model you made. It would be near impossible to make a skin without the advatage of gauging their progress in modview. Also give a specific idea of what you're looking for. Your first model looked like you were going for a navy sport coat and white shirt. Good luck to you, I like what you have done so far!

Dude, any chance you finished it? If you haven't yet, do you intend to release it once you're done? *drools* smiley-drooling.gif

Yees, yes... Useful tutorials but... I haven't found anything about clothing at all. Could you sent some more links?

The mixing of tunics is a good start.

Actually, I need some more of them.

if you still feel you need help making a skin, you would need to make arrangements to send the skinner the model you made.

What skinner should I ask?

Hello, sorry for the slow replies, last couple days have been less than fun. -Tricorder: I did intend to release the skins, complete with TNG crew faces. I soon came to realize however, that I had neither the time nor ability to accomplish that, so put the project on hold for awhile. There are a few more things I wasn't pleased with on the uniform, but nothing hideous, and their not doing anyone any good on my hard disk waiting for some day some how. I'll try to pin some shaders on and pack up what I've got done in the next few days to release as a version 1. -Wystan: Well, you're in the right place, but volunteer skinners seem to be in short supply... As for tutorials on texturing cloth, I don't know of any myself as yet. But, I found your mod demo on modbd, and from the screenies and your post on another thread for Equilibrium skins I see sort of what you were shooting for. Something like that could be done on the existing Galak model as well. If you'd like, I could take a crack at putting some skins together. Be warned I'm still learning myself and I skin. very. slooowly. But if you're not in a big rush, I could probably put together something of comparable quality to the Trek sample above.

Oh, you've seen DW WWI mod! Have you played it? Do you like it? New release is coming so soon!

Great! I do have time. And thanks for the face once again.

Hello again, sorry for the long silence. Yes, I have downloaded and played DW WWI. I like it, looking forward to an update. Has a nice feel to it, being DW its not a rompin stompin shooter, but the hazards keep a flavour of potential danger. Map one: "careful, its a bomb" oops. BOOM! LOL. I was a a bit confused as to what exactly was going on story-wise, and "why did I come here?"-wise. I thought at first I forgot the subtitles, but I guess their coming in a later release. That in mind, the layout of the objectives is very intuitive. I replayed the levels a few times thinking I missed something, like "was I supposed to bring my sonic with me when I first exit the Tardis" on map 1? Or was the Tardis supposed to disapear (explode?) AFTER I investigate (why was I "too late" getting back to the Tardis?) But I found that the path I followed the first time was seemingly EXACTLY as you had laid them out, very nice. :) On my end, I'm sorry I have no update pics to post, but I have found a number of additional refence pics that I think will make for some nice variety in outfit customization, and have got a start on the "Equalibrium" coat. Oh, and the coat texture you already have is fantastic, if you don't mind I'd like to make a couple variants off of that too.

Double post PS (sorry); Tricorder, I have not forgotten you or my other fellow Star Wars/Trek fans. I have released my Star Trek skins (and a bonus:)) here and on moddb. They are both awaiting validation...

First about update: The next demo version will be released when I finish animation and skins. I'm also thinking about the site.

Now about the plot: My lack of script skill.

Spoiler: Show
DW_Christmas: Doctor doest't take the sonic because he just wants to have a good time). He comes to 'a room with a bomb' because he wants to check the camera recordings. By the way, a man with the Doctor's face is cmd. Williams. He's also very important. He's a villian. DW_WWI: TARDIS disapperance with explosion... TARDIS just falls down to the shaft... And should be on its bottom... But it isn't there. It is in the factory control room. Why? It will be explained later.
Spoiler: Show

And that's right. I need someone with the script knowledge. And I also need any other help in development.

About the coat: You may use it. I's all good but the collar.
