Since I have a lot of free time on my hands I decided to try skinning.

The problem is that I have NO IDEA how. I checked out the tut sticky but couldn't understand it. Is there a tut or something out there to give me SUPER simplified skinning basics? Like, what different terms mean and whatnot?

I have never tried anything like this before, so ANY help would be much appreciated :bows:

greetings Trigun, Well there's a good video on jk3files,that helped me out alot! : Bael's Skinning Tutorial Video, Jedi Knight 3 Downloads, Jedi Knight 3 Others It shows how you edit base skins. The downside is that it doesn't shows the programs you'll need,so here's a little list: 1)modview (can be found on jk3files) 2)Pakscape (same as above) 3)A picture editing program (ex. GIMP,Photoshop,...etc) 4)A Program to watch video (media player) ------------------------------------------------- If you have trouble with finding those things, just PM me and i will send them to you.

Hope this helped

Thank you so much. I'm gonna go check out the video now.

One thing though, do you buy photoshop or download it? I never knew...

You buy Photoshop. A free alternative, though, is the Gimp.

Well, its harder than I thought :uhoh:

But, I was able to follow and understand the video. I did change the color of things like the guy in the vid, though I haven't quite worked out how to put another pic ontop of a pic, but I will soon.

Thanks for the help yall :)
