Hi i'm making a map, and I tried to add music to it. Once I got the file to be recognized in game, I got an error telling me to change it to 22k stereo. Once I changed it in Wavepad, I got another error telling me there was no data chunk in my music file. I have no idea what this means as I am not a music editor. Can someone tell me how to fix this? Also is it possible to use an mp3 file?:)

Im not sure what that error is mate, but i would definitely suggest using a .mp3 file for your music since that is what all or most of the games sound files are in. Just make sure that the .mp3 file is encoded in 44100 Hz otherwise the game wont recognise it, from what i can remember. Its been so long since i last made custom music! :(

Yeah, you got it right, Nozy. Make sure it is sampled at 44100 Hz and it can be saved at either 168kbps Stereo or 128kbps Stereo, either one should work ingame with your map. :)

Thanks for the help! However when I do the mp3 thing, my game crashes when the map finishes loading (when the music tries to start playing) Could this be a problem with the way wavepad saves it? What programs do you guys use?

Well you could be a little more helpful and say that most people using wavePad are the ones to experience this error. :p It's quite common, actually. Audacity automatically samples to the correct formats - I also recommend using it. You'll have to download the mp3 plugin separately, but that's no big deal.

Wavepad used to work awesome. They must have changed it at some point. :(
