Hoy everyone.

I'm sure most of you might know about the map called Force Council HeadQuarters v2 (mostly just called as FCHQ2). That map features small tie fighter and bomber vehicles that players can use.

So I'm wondering, how is this done?

I'd love to have a small lambda shuttle, but I'm not sure how to proceed. Do I need to recompile a smaller model .glm or just change the data in the .veh file?

Thx I tried that and changed height, width and length proportionally (like 50% each) and even the centerOfGravity parameter. The shuttle spawned, but it wasnt downscaled at all :O

Those affect the BBox. I think "scale" is probably what you're after.

Okay been testing this a little. Scale doesnt work, modelscale doesnt work, so I thought maybe the model GLM had to be resized?

I got milkshape, but as I try to export the glm again, it crashes. I've read around and this is a known bug (im on win7x64), but I dunno how to fix it.

Anyway, got a friend to export it for me, and it basically makes the map crash, though he only tried once.

So are there anyone out there who knows how this is done?

'map crash'? Any useful error messages, console logs etc? Eh, I'm sure it doesn't require GLM modification. Anyone have a copy of minities to confirm that?

Well for one you cannot export vehicles from ms3d. Vehicles, even non-animated ones, require being enveloped to at least one bone and having the same hierarchy structure that a player model does.

You need to export to .xsi and compile the same way a character is compiled.

I know that when you import the .xsi file into assimilate though there is an option to scale it on compile. They could have just simply used the raven source files to recompile them without even importing/exporting through a modeling program.

Another thing is Force Mod 3 had a scaling system using an .ini file but I can't remember how that worked, it's been too long.

Just checked the mini ties from Total Jedi War, and that's done with model alteration by the looks of it. You could maybe try doing it through an npc file, but i'm not sure if that would work.
