hey all!!! im importing some models into my new map but i can walk throught them... so i think its because they are non-solid.the question is how can i make the models solid??? thx e1 for answers :D

Surround them with brushes made of the physics clip entity. It helps if the brushes form the rough shape of the model too, just for realism. ;)

i also added a tag of spawnflags 2 in the model wich made it solid. but i am sure that made it lag more.

The spawn flags is also a bad idea if you have more then one or two models. It can lead to the black faces problem quickly.

hmm thanks e1 for answers i made the physic_clip thing xD but i just could make brushes that doesn't fit the model... how can i make that lol??? my brushes for the models are just rectangles.... i need somebody!!!HELP! xD thx :D

yeah inyri i read the tutorial.... i get lost when it says ''Now I use 2-point clipping (If your sharp 3-point clipping if needed.) to get it as close as is reasonable in actual shape.''.... here i don't know what to do lol.And how can i take a screen of the model in gtkradiant???cause ive got other problems and for the moment i can't compile it lol thx

Press PrtSc on your keyboard, open Paint, press CTRL+V (or select Paste from the Edit menu), save as JPG.

Then, upload to ImageShack and put it in your post with the [img] tags.

As for clipping, well, read some general mapping tutorials. Rich Diesal covers this, and [color=orange]Map-Center[/color] has a hell of a lot of stuff you'll find useful, including clipping.


I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.
