You should know there are 2 meanings when a mapper referrs to 'clipping'

1) Placing brushes covered with the clip or physics_clip shader around a model to blcok movement through it

2) Using the clipper tool to cut brushes into different shapes.

Tutorial on clipping (physics_clip isnt an entity btw Kouen ;) ) http://www.map-craft.com/modules.php?name=Tutoriaux&rop=tutoriaux&did=22

3 Point clipping - http://www.map-craft.com/modules.php?name=Tutoriaux&rop=tutoriaux&did=48 (You should learn 2-point first)

For 2-point, you basically select a brush and hi tthe 'X' key. Then click in 2 different places on the grid, and it will draw a line between them. OIne side will go yellow, the other will stay red. After hitting enter, the red half will be deleted.

Press Shift+ Enter to keep both halves but as 2 brushes instead of one. Press Alt + Enter to swop the side you are deleting.

Well, technically, it's a shader entity. :p

Yeah, I fuxed that one. I keep owning myself recently. Ever since I tried playing Runescape for 30 minutes. Rawr. >_>

/me goes to install Baldur's Gate II in the hopes of recovering the 10 points Runescape took off his intelligence score.

The only way I know how to convert a md3 to a map-file is to import it in hmm.. was it milkshape? however.. and then export it as a *.map -file. that makes every triangle a brush. (uuuuh - so many brushes!!) yes, I guess that makes it solid. but its better for the brushcount, and .. everything if you use it as a model, and just clip it. ;)
