Eh, Sorry to ask.. I know everyone does.. but I searched and can't find an answer anywhere. Been browsing these forums for some time now, but never registered. Anyways, How do I go abou tmaking a tree model solid, so that I cant pass directly though it. I know misc_model, gives the model drop down box.. But misc_model_static jus makes a little box.. and I can edit it in anyway, Anyone help me out here? Thanks.
arent the trees (or parts of them) alpha'd?
Hmmm <--- Much a noob. Im sorry Im self taught, no tutorials or anything. Whats alpha'd, appearantly im not doing it lol. But yes, I just picked up gtk and started messin with shit.. I dont even know basic knowledge of mapping/geometry etc etc.
Ahh, read somewhere to use 1.4.0 GTKRadiant. Currently I use 1.3.12 GTK, so should I switch to 1.4.0? or is JK2 Radiant viable? I see undder Szico's(I think I spelt that right, sorry if not) name "jk2 radiant > gtk radiant" SO what should I be using?
36 views and only almight_gir cared to post and help? None of you can help..
For some reason I dont believe that.. Oh well..
an alpha texture is a texture that tells the engine what to render and what not to. thus allowing for invisible or partially transparrent objects like leaves etc.
and im a modeler, so i cant answer. 9/10 of the people here are noobs asking people to make shit for them, theres only 1 good mapper im aware of and thats schitzo.
Private messages are your friend. and so is www.google.com
and me :P just joking, best thing to use is Noclip or Caulk depending on ur size of the map. check under textures, System or Common :)
No you will need to use Clip found in system. If you use caulk it will cast a shadow (if you have made it larger than your tree)
