1: shader + alpha layer in the texture 2: shader.

to add glow, right after you state the map texture location, put glow. I forgot how to control the intensity though. And judging from experience, youre not gonna read the Q3A Shader Manual, so I guess Ill have to explain it. Ill just write a quick shader for the glow now, cause Im in school atm...Ill do the other later.

textures/xxx/xxx { qer_editorimage textures/xxx/xxx { map textures/xxx/xxx glow } }

That should work. I forgot the exact blendfunc that works best, but heres a rough estimate of what I remember of the correct combo. I am quite sure its both source blends, and no destination blends, but Ill check when I get home.

textures/xxx/xxx { qer_editorimage textures/xxx/xxx { map textures/xxx/xxx blendfunc GL_SRC_ALPHA GL_ONE_MINUS_SCR_ALPHA } }

And now, I must say. Dont ask me how to actually APPLY the shader to the model, I wanna know that too! :P

Cool, thanks alot Isla ^-^ *thumbs up* I really appreciate it Ok....yet another question ^^'.... I bet you're all tired of me now XP Bu~~~~t.... Does anyone know how to make the weapon so that wheneve ryou're selecting the saber color, it'll change the color of certain parts on it (i.e. the semi-transparent parts of the model) P.S. The reason I'm asking so many questions here is because I haven't found any clear guides for these. Thanks in advance for any help ^^

well, if your making colored weapons, I suppose altering the texture would do that, the GL_SRC_ALPHA GL_ONE_MINUS_SCR_ALPHA is the correct one for knocking out the alpha and stuff btw. It gets a bit more complicated if you want it to be someting like this, with that, I used something else, the panel had blackness around the outside of it, and I needed it to be a holopanel, so I needed to knock out the alpha plus make the rest semi transparent.

lol no problem, and I dont see why it wouldnt, as the saber colors allow for different shaders (I think thats what they use) to color them different colors, but you should ask around, Ive never done an actual saber modification, Ive replaced it with various things like Axels fire wheels from Kindom Hearts, and Ive also done a fish and a giant pencil :P But, no. No actual saber mods that didnt replace the model with something that isnt supposed to have a saber.

Ok , I see, thanks... one more question.... Is it at all possible to make a saber weapon (single with 2 blades on it) curved at one end, then straight at the other? Or even just simply curved (I'm referring to the lightsaber blade)

You can curve the saber blades. Its just a shader found in assets1>gfx>effects>sabers You can change the lines to be curved. That should do it.

Ok, Ok....I see..... ...might have to change my approach then... Well....is there a way I can change a semi-transparent blade on a saber/sword based weapon & give it lightsaber blade properties? (A.K.A. lightsaber sounds, effects, illumination)
