i just figured out how to uvw map and unwrap in gmax correctly, but i have two questions what is the print screen button? how do i seperate certain faces from others in the uvw unwrapping window?
Print screen is a button your keyboard.
It would be nice if you let us in on what software you're using so we can help you more.
IFailedEnglishi just figured out how to uvw map and unwrap in gmax
sorry couldnt help it
I'd have to check up on how to do it in gmax, but you're better off waiting for someone else to come tell you exactly. There should be some kind of unweld option, though, or detach face in the UV editor.
I used gmax for a while but now I use XSI Mod Tool (it's better :p). Anyway there's a glitch in gmax for seperating pixels. First you highlight them, and you hit the "break selected pixels" button a few times. Most of the time it works on the first one, but I've had problems with it. Then after you hit the button, you deselect the pixels. Then you select them again and they'll be broken.
ok ive made a uvw map and i found my print screen button, but i dont know where it puts the uvw map when i press it
Your clipboard. You need to paste it somewhere and crop it. Or, alternatively, I believe texporter may work with gmax. You'd have to check that one, though.
texporter doesnt work for gmax, unfortunately, and i dont know where the clipboard is :/
just open a photo editor and paste it in or if ur photo program dose this click the paste as new image buttion
i know that part but i dont know where to find the picture, because i dont know where clipboard is.
