In light of the OJP idea of "open mod" projects, I'd like to get another started- What I was thinking is a group of people interested in making sp maps for ja getting together and producing some maps. I know there are a few people out there trying to do some maps/mods and have teams, but the teams tend to be closed celled and usually never see the light of day (TMU, Stargate mod, ect.). Now I am thinking that everyone interested in mapping knows enough to help each other out and with the right knowledge, some nice sp maps could come to light. Also, the project would be "open" meaning EVERYONE has a right to join/leave as they feel fit. If this is something that sounds interesting let's do it...if not, I just made an ass of myself. (waiting for tfighterpilot/gothix to chime in)....(and moderek to pimp his sp mod). Peace!

Hmm might be interesting. Sorry to disappoint you, but I have sent off several emails as news articles. So I don't need to post here. Anyways, an SP thinktank? Sounds like it might be interesting.

Right now I am working on putting together a texture library and some maps. I am working on three in particular:

1. a small labratory used for experimenting on genome/human research/genetic engineering

2. a weapons room for guns and other explosive weapons.

3. A small city with multifloored buildings. The tallest being 16 floors. I plan on making a few apartment buildings and a dance club amounst other things.

The labratory and weapons room will be part of a secret underground facility. All maps are part of a sp mod which takes place in the present day. Peace!

Hrm,

Well, I am not opposed to the idea at all, and anything I produce is most welcome to be an asset for such a project. I am not really a Mapper though, so i'm not sure how much help I can be, however I am well versed in the SP modding department, so my stuff may be only code based, but it could end up being useful. *shrug*

Texture library. Hmm, good idea. Too bad no one has thought of making a site for that, though.

Actually evil has made a shadered texture series and someone released a "photorealistic" texture set. I have well over 200mb of textures I am sorting through right now and some I have made myself. I will probably just release the textures used with each map. Jaedenruiner, you are someone I really need to talk too. I can do maps, but have difficulty putting the final together (scripts, goals, ect). Lately I've been testing the maps and just playing them in JA by using "map map name) but would like to releae some of these in a stand alone mission pack. Right now I have some skins for charecters and minor weapons tweaks I plan on throwing in there. Alot of this stuff is from the "blade/wba mods/dragon remix" mods. But if you know cutscenes or scripts for sp that would be very usefull. Either way all are welcomed to join, Peace!!

Here is a quick update: I have acquired permission from [RoAR]Lord_Hatrus AKA Lord Hatrus for his terminator weapons mod. The weapons list for this mod is now as follows: Beretta 92 - Briar Glock 17 - Briar Glock 18 - Briar Desert Eagle - Briar Minigun - Repeater Plasma terminator Rifle - Blaster_R Plasma Sniper Rifle - Disruptor RSB-80 Plasma Cannon - Demp2 SPAS-12 Auto-Shotgun - Fletchette T-X Plasma Cannon - Demp

and the weapons from the blade mod is as follows: 'Colt Pistol' - by Lord Hatrus, replaces Bryar Pistol and Imperial Pistol

'AK-47' by Lord Hatrus, replaces Blaster Rifle

'SPAS-12 Shotgun' by Lord Hatrus and Master Cheif replaces G.A. Flechette Weapon

'SIG Sniper Rifle' by Master Cheif, replaces Disruptor Rifle 'M-16' by Master Cheif, replaces Imperial Repeater

'Bullets' and 'Arrows' based off of 'Shuriken Set 1.5' by Laghima

'Flamethrower' effects (for Demp2) by Covax and David B We now have quite a few ingame weapons to work with, but still not sure who is interested in joing this project. I Thank all the above authors for there work and time and if I missed anyone, I will post your names in the readme's. Hope to hear some replys, Peace!

uh..i can put the mod in place and pk3 and crud, but i ain't no moddeler or mapper.
