ok im working on V2 of my Gensun skin, ive changed his armor and trying to make it look shiny, problem is with the spec map, it covers the whole section of the body, in the torso_spec.jpg i blacked out the arms, which are cloth and did the necessary adjustments to the armor, in the .shader is the following for the torso

models/players/Gensun/torso { q3map_onlyvertexlighting { map models/players/Gensun/torso blendFunc GL_ONE GL_ZERO rgbGen lightingDiffuse } { map models/players/gensun/torso_spec blendFunc GL_SRC_ALPHA GL_ONE detail glow alphaGen lightingSpecular }

} but ingame the specular mapping also apears on the arms even though i blacked it out, see any problems?

Never tried glow on speculars.. can't imagine what it would look like neither. Could that be the problem, you think?

nah it only makes it a little bit brighter and a more shiny feel, but the problem is that the cloth on the arms get it even though that section of the torso_spec.jpg is just black
