As many of you know, SWG is a game from Sony that has been changed drastically since launch several years agao. Due to recent nerfs to the Jedis powers, I would like to request a Mod to convert the JK3 game to a form of SWG (Jedi class only). I would like to see the same tree's implemented along with the skills they provided. If anyone can/ or is willing to take on this task, PM me, or simply reply to this thread topic. Would you like us to update the gaming engine as well? To tell you the truth, you really couldn't do that without reprogramming the game almost from scratch.

yea but it doubt its ever going to be released :P and if i know anything about frikkin huge maps (which i do-->via foresty V2) its not gonna compile with that much stuff in one bsp :o

yeah and if any1 else was willing to do this, it would take about.... 2 years or so... long aye? but still, if any1 IS making it i'd be pleased to see one finished ^^

Or, should I say, can't possibly happen in a billion years. The engine just is not capable of it.

On the contrary, they're coming pretty frikkin close, the scripting GA has been able to do is incredible, my only wonder is how they're gonna fit 7 - 8 maps into one compile!

the JA unit of scale is just so monstrous thats why maps seem small, i have models from SWBF2, HL2, SW: Rogue Squadron 2 and 3, the RotS game and the Clone Wars game and all those models are like the size of a JA playermodels hand. the Q3 engine is open source, someone could make whatever they want with it and not have to pay any loyalties, just as long as they release thier code. so if you wanted to make something large scale youd have to first fix it to where everything in JA isnt so enourmous, then you can make bigger maps and such. id personally suggest starting this off from JK2's code cause for some reason that game runs so much better and can render so much more than JA can, JA just lags for no apparent reason while JK2 runs perfect on the highest settings. im sure you can get your hands on the source to both of these games, its just a small amount that they added onto the Q3 engine which is downloadable as well.

Ok, all I have to say is, NEVER gonna happen. I mean really, thats like asking to turn JKA into Everquest. Now maybe if someone wanted to they could make a class based game (Like MovieBattles II) but it would not, nay, could not be like a MMO, not at all.

The closest you could get to that is making maps with spawning NPC monsters that respawn and have a RPG mod (Like in UT2k3/2k4). But it would still be in a FPS engine. So lets all try to start asking for things that are possible, ok? :rolleyes:
