We all know about KotF and the Star Wars SP levels in it and that it is a hoax and blah blah blah, but it was still a nice idea to make the Star Wars movies into Jedi Academy SP. Most of the maps are already made, and there are very good Star Wars models around too, so that shouldn't be a problem. I only don't understand why noone just made it before? I mean it's a great idea and I'm sure for many people no problem to just script SP in the map?
Becuase we would need all the source files, like the .Map files. Then theres the job of finding people. And then we need to give millions of tons of credit.
The credits woun't be a problem, but the source files will be...
Not to mention the amount of work it would take, and that it would be an insult to the movies (something which isn't easy to accomplish in the case of Episode 2 >_> ).
Plus there's the inevitably enormous filesize it would have. Oh, and the fact that many events from the movies are impossible to implement due to Raven Software not releasing the singleplayer source code. Due to the lack of a singleplayer SDK, Jedi Academy isn't really a suitable platform for anything other than multiplayer add-ons.
While this does seem like a good idea, it'd just be "same old s*** just with a different environment". And, we can all happily blame Raven Software for it! How nice.
I don't know how, and I don't know why, but this is totally Sheep's fault.
Ture what Kouen said, the battle of geonosis would be impossible to make... But something like Maul vs. Qui-gon would be possible I think.
npc's aren't that good for fighting tbh.
Not unless you created a whole new complex AI class script for them at any rate.

No, they arent, but you can make them a lot better.
