I'm trying to put together a movieclip of stuff I made.... While reading a quake video_editing tutorial at chopchopserver.com I stumbled uppon this line:

"If you're feeling adventurous, you can try using Stubert's camscript. This program generates a .cfg file that smoothly moves the camera from one position to another position of your choice."

Now I've turned the whole internet inside out but the link is dead and the file is nowhere to be found ! :( And I'd love achieve smooth camera movement.

Does anyone here still have it ? That'd be awesome. Or else maybe another way to freely move the camera while playing a demo ???

Cause I've tried putting a still camera in there with the red-slushy mod and it works.... but It's really petty... it'll take ages getting the right angles. (That way...I might as well hire some friends to make cool moves while I record a demo as spectator ! That'd be less work ! =p )

Thx in advance.

I know this is an ugly bump... but it's hard to believe no-one ever layed eyes on this script.

This one tiny bump is my final attempt in aquiring this mythical script. Or anything that can be used to move a camera in a replay.

Indeed.

Sorry but slushie mod is no longer valid. I would recommand you using SystemA mod. It will take some work to get it right but you know: "No pain no gain"

I happen to need this script too, but it seems like it's unavailable. SystemA is just a tool to make the camera commands easier to use, but that's all it does. Slushie mod is still available, by the way. Now there was PUGmod for Jedi Academy, but it's unobtainable. The readme was incomprehensible anyway.

So yeah, any suggestion?

Hmm, I might send a mail to the guys who wrote the tutorial later, I'll post here if I get an answer.

Myg0t... I emailed Stubert on his gmail and he replied really fast. He told me that I should get PugMOD... and I searched and found a link. PUGMod.zip - FileFront.com

(the ammount of files hidden on filefront without description or any hint of what they are staggers me !!! ;) )

Stubert also pointed me out to this forum where you can read all about PUGmod... and maybe receive some help in whatever your trying to do ! Beyond Suppression Forums

Actually.. if a mod reads this... this File should make it to the tutorial page in a way... I think it's something a lot of moviemakers would find really helpfull.

Everyone thank and worship Stubert for his help :)

Ah, great job dude. PUGMod allows you to do awesome camera moves (check this YouTube - mbt00 - crappy video, but awesome filming).

Hmm there are three readme, I wonder what the "spline camera" one is about... That's the one I was talking about when I said it was incomprehensible ("lol so if u wnat 2 maek sum kewl stuff wiht pugmod u msut read dis readme first olol"). But the two other readme should do fine.

Thanks a lot for helping!

On Thursday I'm going to submit a script to JK3Files that does almost what you're asking for. Here's a sample of the readme: This is a script set that controls the third person camera and the timescale command. Run the script by typing "exec CameraAndTimeScript.cfg", without the quotes, in the console. Default controls: KeyPad 0: Resets the camera. KeyPad ,: Toggles timescale between Time Stopped (or at least as slow it can get with this command), 1/10 speed, 1/5, 1/2 and 1.0. KeyPad Enter: Resets timescale to 1.0. KeyPad 1: Lowers the camera relative to your body. KeyPad 2: Moves the camera away from the player. KeyPad 3: Lowers the camera's pitch. KeyPad 4: Rotates the camera counter-clockwise. KeyPad 5: Toggles "4th person view" - first mode makes the camera stick in its current position and aims against you. Second mode makes the camera lag after you a bit while you move. Third mode is the default behaviour. KeyPad 6: Rotates the camera clockwise. KeyPad 7: Raises the camera relative to your body. KeyPad 8: Moves the camera closer to the player. KeyPad 9: Raises the camera's pitch. Is it something like this you had in mind?

Pretty much like SystemA, except you can do it in real time? That would be really useful too. I'll try this.

With all respect. Not at all. I specificly want camera's and nothing connected to the player. ;) (it makes me dizzy watching it that way )

Dude I've tried figuring out how PUGmod works, it's quite complicated. The readme is hardcore. Ah well, I'll just spend more time trying to understand it, calmly. If I learn something I'll post here.
