I have a T-rex model ready for the game. I can do the animations and what not but again as i have said before in previous posts I can not compile it correctly but i can create the necessary animations needed for this particular model so if you want to compile it for me after i am finished then be my guest . Pictures of the model will be available soon so don't worry ;)
can you make it replace the rancor ?...and release it ?
First: What program did you used to animate it?, if it's 3dsMax7+ forget it, you can't animate vehicles with 3dsMax7+, it won't compile in assimilate.
Second: If you didn't, I'll compile it.
Actually, back when Gir was still working on his Sephiroth, he managed to export perfectly working animations with Max 9. Max 8, in theory, can also export animations, but I'm yet to try that out.
Try to contact him and ask him but I don't think its possible since 3dsMax7+ assigns a MAX_ROOT at the end of the skelleton making assimilate crash because of that MAX_ROOT. But that's only when you're exporting something with animations, I think players don't have any problem.
I really hope player models don't have that problem, unless you can weigh them in the XSI mod tools.
The animations will work I am using max 9 and I am more that certain that it will work if not than I guess you can take a crack at it Ninja here is my model so far

lightninja is right about max, are you sure you have a skeleton that will work in JA and the hierarchy is correct? the model isnt even facing the correct position, looks fisheh...
i know it is not facing the right way it is one of the first screens i have taken this image was during the modeling process and the hierarchy and linking ect. will be done when i rig it. Yes it will use the rancor type of npc and will be able to fight the rancor
